I don't understand what you're getting at.

The Abs are mainly things like Transverse Abdominii, and the Obliques down the side. The 6 or 8-pac, is the result of hard training, and good diet to help them show.

ok so if the guy has a 6/8 pack but there is an "encasing" all the way around the outside of the abs...kinda looks like a shell or something

im trying to find a picture

That just sounds like his skin, bearing in mind he'll have low fat levels, so the skin wil be tighter around the muscle wall.

the "abs" is basically one big muscle but thendons run across them which seprates them into obliques, rectus abdominas etc...the "encasing" i think you're talking about is simply low body fat

Well I doubt a 6-pac would be as visable if there was dark cloud as opposed to sun, and most people wouln't go out in snow, with an uncovered 6-pac.

if your in the sun your skin can stretch or something giving better definition, read that somewhere not sure about it though...but in the winter months the body can store more fat to keep core temperature up if your not right onto daily intake etc

One possibility would be someone drinking more Water in hotter months, causing more Fat metabolising.

it does but you can also retain water if your not drinking enough of which the body does to stay hydrated if you're not doing it for yourself
