I'm lucky I've never suffered from anything but the occasional twinge. Probably the worst kind of one, was when I dropped an Olympic Bar about 2-3" Deadlifting.

It slipped out my hands, and resulted in my lower back, getting a rebound kind of effect. I had a very stiff lower Back for 3-4 days.

I'm curious to know though if anyone here has had worse, and how people got over it.

Had been suffering from pain in elbow, thought It was due some tendons/ligaments but actually it was myofascial pain orgination some where else. Besides this I have minor pulls here and there but noting big.

Yes! I used to get active trigger points in my infraspinatus and SPS that would send pain into my shoulder elbow and forearm. I have to really keep up with that because of my work, but I can usually get rid of it in a day or two if it happens.

Was horsing around and dropped a bow into...let's just say something hard and had some decent pain in my elbow on preacher curls for a few months. Otherwise my worst was doing flye's (I go real wide and real low) my left arm just never came up, went weak, had a bit of pain and was not solid for about a month. Other then that I have been pretty fortunate.

My main injury is in my shins, and ive felt like ive had it for quite a while.

When i walk at a fast pace for around 15minutes, or am on a treadmil at a high speed for like 3minutes, my shins/ bones feel like they want to snap in two. Its been like this for a while now and I just cannot get rid of it.

Ive asked around and people say its Shin splints, and it goes naturally over time.

I should do yes.

You might be able to get some medicated Cream that might possibly help, so you might be as well to see a Doctor.

To my understanding, it's often caused by activity, which involves incorrect foot movements, I.E. too much pressure or shocking of the rear of the Foot, so it's possibly something you need to have assessed as well, to see why you might have caused it, e.g. running, jogging etc etc.

here's a beauty for youse....

2003 i think it was, footy grand final saturday so started drinking at 10am...didn't go to bed that night still drinking and had the best ansd fairest count on the sunday up at the footy club so went straight there...still drinking...went to the pub after that which is our major sponsor...still drinking...got to 11:30pm sunday night and i have fell and was half pushed off a bar stool...my wrist landed on my glass at the same time it shattered against the ground slicing open my wrist severing all trendons, ligaments and nerves...passed out for a little while from blood loss...sung uptown girl by billy joel on the gurnie when i was being put in the ambulance (don't really remember that bit but it happened)...had a blood alcohol reading of .492 at the hospital (.3 or 4 and your dead) but blood loss must have elevated that so i couldn't have any things or anything but i couldn't fdeel anything anyway from lack of nerves...had microsurgery at 5pm on the monday and still hadn't slept...anyway the doctors said i wouldn't be able to use my hand properly for 18 - 24 months but within 3 months i was back footy training and shhoting left handed basketball shots...1st game of basketball back in february (1st shot was a 3 and shwishhhh) and played 1st practivce game for footy in march and didn't miss agame that season although i had to wear a poofta looking glove as all my hand muscle had worn away and got best on ground in 1st actual game of the season...in the time off though i had ballooned out to 80kgs from about 73ish so also had to get back in shape

agh those were the days......

Ive got the same sort of problem :)

Its fairly painful sometimes but its best not to try anything silly like pushing through the pain.

What i had to do was just use a Bike for Cardio...

If you do occasional walking you should be ok.

Also look in the footwear you have - You should get new shoes every few months and buy shoes with a heap of support.

Good Luck

I got a stress fracture in my sacrum from too much running. There was nothing my orthopedist could do for me. He said it was very common in runners. I had to take it easy for a while. It took three months to heal.

I somehow bent my thumb back to my wrist (at the front) snowboarding. It turned black and swelled up, but I had a few shots of peppermint schnapps and boarded the rest of the day. It hurt for about a year after that.
Otherwise, nothing broken or injured, ever. Which is a miracle.

17 yrs old...racing sailboats

silly me tried to use my foot for a bumper to avoid collision with another boat. ha ha ha..... we still hit...lol
I guess the adrenalin was pumping so much i didnt notice the blood and bones sticking out of my foot.
It wasnt until a crewman started saying oh my gosh oh my gosh that i looked down and passed out.

Besides for a couple of nasty scars and a little stiffness...its all good now!

Broken arm, foot and ribs. Not all at once but spread out over a very active adolescence. The only thing that still bothers me at times is the arm but only when I get cold.
