Hi, i am new to forums like this, I usually just go to the gym and use the olyptical for an hour or more. i am about 5'7 138lbs. i am not fat but i could afford to lose some weight off my stomach/sides i was wondering what else i can do to speed up this process. I understand diet is a big part, i try to eat healthy and regularly everyday, but i am wondering what type of cardio works the best.

Hello and Welcome!

I used to do an hour on the treadmill or the elliptical… someone recommended HIIT (High Intensive Interval Training) for about 25-30mins.
When I did it for the first time… Boy I was sweating and it kicked my butt compared when I did 60mins of the same speed. .. (waste of time)
When I first started, I did 5mins walk to warm up, then run 1 min (FAST) 2mins (Slow) – to rest until my heart beat slows down… Then fast/ slow again.
I did that about 15-20mins. Then I jogged the last 5mins to cool down.
Now... I do 1min run/ 1 min walk... and it still kicks my butt... but i feel good after doing it

Maybe you should consider doing weights too!

As for your diet… Maybe if you wrote down what you eat… people in here can help you better :D
